About Catherine Gruetzke-Blais
Influenced by nature, Catherine Gruetzke-Blais works in a variety of media including acrylic paint, collage, watercolor paint, and mosaic. She has shown her art in the Boston, MA area since 1990 and her pieces are held in various private collections. She has a particular interest in color, texture, and movement when creating art. She completed MAT and BFA Degrees from Tufts University and the School of the Museum of Fine Arts, Boston. A fine artist and art teacher, Catherine has also worked as a scenic artist painting large scale scenery for large productions. She also enjoys designing public art. In 2012, she was selected to paint and collage her design onto one of the large fiberglass rabbits for the Dedham Public Art Project. In 2017, Catherine was also selected to paint her mural design on an electrical box as a part of the Natick Public Art Project.
